A little bit more about me …
I am obsessed with all things arts related, and always have been. I grew up crafting, crocheting, drawing, decorating, studying ballet, playing piano … I wanted to be involved in all of it.
Dancing captured the majority of my attention during high school and led me to study with Indiana University’s stellar ballet department. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ballet with an Outside Field in Psychology. An injury redirected my plans, however, so after graduation, I took some time to regroup and explore my options.
While living in Chicago, I was introduced to the Interior Design degree program at the Harrington College of Design. It was such a perfect fit; the program rekindled my passion for drawing and decor and opened my eyes to the magnitude of possibilities for interior spaces. I reveled in it.
After earning my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design, I threw myself into the professional design world. I honed my skills by working for independent designers, kitchen and bath showrooms, tile showrooms, furniture retailers, and as a designer working directly with clients, contractors, and builders on all types of residential construction projects. I now have almost 20 years of experience in the field.
I launched Creative + Curated in 2019, after being unexpectedly placed at a professional crossroads. And I am so glad I made this leap! It is such a joy to work with my clients and partner with them on their projects.
